Disley’s sides completed a clean sweep over Chelford in the latest round of the Meller Braggins Cheshire Cricket League.

Leading wicket-taker Martin Blackbourn again excelled for the 1st XI, taking 7-21 to limit the visitors to 143 all out, before the Rams completed a three-wicket win.

A 2nd XI containing nine teenagers was also victorious in the reverse fixture, dismissing Chelford for just 90 with spinner Adam Burgess taking 4-8.

Sunday also saw a win in a friendly against visiting Trafford MV.

Disley totalled 188-5 thanks to half centuries from Toby Carson (51 not out) and Ash Boardman (51 not out) before Henry Clark’s three-wicket haul led the way with the ball.

Disley will look to continue their good form when the 1st XI travel to Stretton and the 2nd XI host Trafford MV.
