For the third year running, I am volunteering with High Peak CVS on the Big Energy Savings Network Project run by the Department of Energy and Climate Change, from now until March.

We are advising on energy saving in the home, switching energy suppliers, different energy tariffs and available Government support to help the most vulnerable get warmer homes and lower fuel bills. We do this by visiting existing groups to give presentations and one-to-one advice.

We have already helped groups in Fairfield, The Grapevine, Buxton Methodist Church, parent/toddler groups and others across the High Peak. If you belong to or run a group, which you think might benefit from this assistance please contact either me on jean.todd@highpeak.gov.uk or via our Facebook page Buxton Central Councillors or Esther Jones on esther@highpeakcvs.org.uk . Please also contact us if you would like to join us as a volunteer to help with the project.
