Youngsters bring poetry to life on stage
Young performers have been celebrating their love of poetry by taking to the stage.
The children in year three of Chapel-en-le-Frith Primary School, age seven and eight, were encouraged to find poems about their favourite animals or write verses of their own.
They entertained their families and friends with an evening of dancing, music and most of all fun. They dressed up as their favourite animals to bring the poems to life.
Head teacher, Jacquie Barber said it was a wonderful way to celebrate the requirement in the new National Curriculum.
