Young people can shoot hoops in park
High Peak youngsters will have somewhere to shoot hoops thanks to a donation from an estate agent to a community park.
Gascoigne Halman donated a £750 slice of their £25k Community Challenge fund to Friends of Memorial Park, in Whaley Bridge.
The group take care of the facilities at Memorial Park and with the help of High Peak Borough Council aim to create a welcoming environment. They requested funding to install a basketball practice area and basketball hoop after a survey of residents revealed a demand for a new type of play area.
Gascoigne Halman celebrated its 25th anniversary by setting up a £25,000 fund to support local causes.
