Woman injured in Peak District crash

Firefighters extricated a woman from a car after a crash in the Peak District.

Emergency services we called to the scene at 9pm on Tuesday February 14 to an incident on Chesterfield Road, Rowsley.

Crews were called from Matlock and Bakewell to reports of a vehicle down an embankment.

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Fire crews assisted the ambulance service in extricating one male casualty from the vehicle.

"One female and and one male were treated by paramedics."

The stop message was received after 11pm.

East Midlands Ambulance Service added: "The caller reported a single car road traffic collision, with a man and a woman in the car.

"One ambulance crew attended the incident and took the man to Chesterfield Royal Hospital. The female passenger was not reported to have any injuries."
