A 26-YEAR-OLD woman has this morning been arrested by police investigating the deaths of three patients at Stockport’s Stepping Hill Hospital.

The woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. Police have confirmed she is an employee at the hospital. Enquiries are ongoing.

Greater Manchester Police were called to the hospital by a member of staff last week after allegations that saline solutions were found to have been deliberately contaminated.

The deaths of three patients, George Keep, 84 from Cheadle, Arnold Lancaster, 71, from Romiley and 44-year-old Tracey Arden from Stockport are under investigation but dozens of other families from across the area have also been affected.

Stepping Hill Hospital is regularly used by High Peak residents and we want to know if you or your family have been affected by this incident.
