WI put to the test at sporty fun day
Members of a High Peak women's group had a go at a few Olympic sports of their own at a recent fun day.
Members of Hayfield and District WI attended the fun day held by Chinley WI, during which eight teams took part in games such as discus throwing, swimming, skiing and bobsleigh.
Twelve members of Hayfield and District WI also visited its twin WI in Burton, which is in Kendal, Cumbria, at the end of July.
They used the Sustainable Hayfield bus to reach the destination, where they were warmly welcomed and provided with an excellent lunch after which they were taken on a tour of the village.
