The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms affecting Derbyshire and most of England and parts of Wales, which is in place from 6pm on Wednesday, June 16, to 6am on Friday, June 18.

The warning states there is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail and strong winds.

It adds, where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services.
