Hours of snow forecast to hit Buxton tomorrow as Met Office extends weather warning

The higher parts of the Buxton area will continue to face wintry showers with a yellow warning for snow and ice still in force.

Today will be mostly dry with some sunshine by late afternoon. Breezy, especially near showers. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

It will be cloudier tonight but remaining chilly with further showers, with sleet and snow in places, mainly on higher parts but perhaps to lower levels in heavier bursts. Brisk winds will tend to ease.

Later it will become drier dry with clear spells, but cloud will thicken through the evening. Rain moving in overnight, with hill snow snow Winds easing. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

Snow is forecast from 1am-10am on Thursday which will be heavy at times.

Later on Thursday there will be rain to start with;and some brief sleet or wet snow, clearing through the morning to leave showers with some sunny spells for the afternoon. Becoming windy.
