Dedicated volunteers from in and around New Mills got together for a curry to raise vital funds for services which help the vulnerable and elderly.

Ann Hallam, a trustee at the town’s Volunteer Centre, arranged a meal at New Mills Cuisine.

A hamper of goodies, donated by Tal Anderson from Tesco in Whaley Bridge, was the top raffle prize.

The evening raised more than £200 which will go towards supporting services like shopping, befriending, transport and gardening for local elderly or vulnerable residents.
