Here’s Buxton Carnival - as you’ve never seen it before.
This fantastic timelapse video of the 2015 parade was produced by Staffordshire-based creative agency, EDNA, and posted on YouTube.
Filmed with a GoPro camera from the window of Edwardian tea room at Hargreaves, it captures the procession as it made its way along Spring Gardens, and features music by Fairfield (Buxton) Band.
Anna Phillips, who along with David Edwards and her sister Suzanne make up the small EDNA team, said: “Although EDNA is based in Leek, I was born and raised in Buxton and so it was really important to me to be involved.
“We work closely with Discover Buxton and the Buxton Well Dressing Festival, and last year we captured time-lapses of the petalling taking place and also one from the Discover Buxton tram as it travelled through the carnival.
“This year we built the new Buxton Well Dressing Festival website and filmed a number of time-lapses and photographs throughout the festival. I wanted to capture the sights and sounds of the carnival from a fixed location this time, giving me the freedom to run around and take close up photos of the carnival as well.”
So don’t worry if you missed this year’s parade - here it is to view in under two minutes!
