The international smash hit musical Blood Brothers is coming to Buxton Opera House next week.
The show tells the captivating and moving story of the young mother Mrs Johnson, who having been deserted by her husband and left to provide for seven hungry children, takes a job as a house keeper.
It is not long before her brittle world crashes around her when she discovers herself to be pregnant yet again – this time with twins! In a moment of weakness and desperation, she enters a secret pact with her employer which leads inexorably to the show’s shattering climax.
No stranger to the musical, Lyn Paul ‘The definitive Mrs Johnstone’ (Manchester Evening News) is wowing the crowds with her stunning vocal range, whilst playing the iconic role that she first performed in 1997.
Hailed as one of the best musicals of all time, Blood Brothers, written by award-winning playwright Willy Russell has triumphed across the globe. It ran in London’s West End for 24 years and exceeded 10,000 performances.
Blood Brothers starts on Monday March 7 and runs until Saturday, March 12, with Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm.
Tickets are priced from £15 to £38 and discounts are available. For more information see here.
