Crowds of people queued in the rain for free pizza at the official opening of the new Domino’s in Buxton this afternoon (Friday).
The takeaway giant offered free pizza to the first 100 customers through the doors at its brand new shop at 9 The Quadrant.
In the run-up to the fanfare launch, the international chain also enticed customers with special opening-day offers via social media.
A spokesman for Domino’s Pizza Group said: “Domino’s has over 830 stores in the UK and Republic of Ireland and has a goal to increase this number further. We believe Buxton has great potential for pizza.”
The outlet is situated in Buxton’s Grade II listed former post office, which has been vacant since January 2013, when it was last occupied by careers service Connexions.
Domino’s hopes the new venture will create up to 35 jobs.
