Victim cut with knife after masked men enter Glossop home

A man was cut with a knife after three masked men entered a Glossop home last night and demanded money.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Scotty Brook Crescent at 7.45pm on Thursday (October 23).

They cut the man on his head and hands before fleeing through a rear door.

It is thought they may have run into fields at the back of the property.

The men were described as wearing dark clothing and all had their faces covered.

Officers investigating would like anyone to contact them that may have seen people running or acting suspiciously in the Whitfield area, Cross Cliff or the Shirebrook Park Estate between 7pm and 7.50pm.

Police would also like to appeal to residents in the area that have CCTV at their property to contact them.

The victim is being treated at Stepping Hill Hospital.
