TWO climbers suffered serious injuries in separate incidents on Wednesday afternoon.
Edale and Buxton Mountain Rescue Teams were called first to Stanage Edge to assist the Derbyshire Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance crew with a fallen climber.
He had sustained head, chest and suspected back injuries, after a fall of around 5 metres.
He was treated and packaged by the air ambulance crew before being evacuated to the roadside.
While the above rescue was going on, a call was received alerting the teams to a climbing accident on Burbage South.
This time a female climber had suffered head and back injuries as well as being knocked unconscious after her fall.
Team members were released from the incident at Stanage along with additional team members responding from home or work to attend.
The lady was treated by a team doctor and she was evacuated to the top of the crag to the Midlands Air Ambulance.
