Motorists urged to avoid Bridgemont roundabout after junction closed due to collision
Motorists have been asked to avoid Bridgemont roundabout after a junction was closed following a road traffic collision.
Drivers travelling towards Whaley Bridge have been urged to steer clear of Bridgemont roundabout after the Buxton Road junction, which leads to Tesco was closed by police after a crash.
In a message posted to Facebook, Buxton police said: “Traffic travelling towards Whaley Bridge should avoid Bridgemont due to a traffic collision.
“The road is currently closed at Bridgemont roundabout to the Tesco Junction.

Officers also encouraged motorists planning to drive towards Harpur Hill to drive with caution on Heath Nook, after there was a diesel spillage on the road.
Police added that that highways have been made ‘aware’ of the spillage.
Buxton Police wrote: “Motorists travelling in Harpur Hill should drive with caution on Heath Nook after there was a diesel spillage on the road. Its thought that highways have been made aware.”
