Traffic delays expected during Buxton Carnival parade

Drivers are being warned to expect delays during Saturday afternoon’s Buxton Carnival parade.

Road closures and diversions will be in operation along the procession route in the centre of town between 1.30pm and 4pm.

The parade starts from outside Buxton Railway Station at 2pm, following a route along Station Road, Spring Gardens, The Quadrant, St John’s Road, Burlington Road, West Road, High Street, Market Place and Terrace Road.

Bus stops on the Market Place and Terrace Road will be closed from 1.30pm, with services terminating elsewhere in the town. The following High Peak Buses-operated services will be affected: 190, Skyline 199, 442, 58, 61, 76, 77 and Transpeak.
