The Tour of Britain cycle race arrives in Derbyshire tomorrow (Friday) and there will be disruption on the county’s roads throughout the day.
As the event passes through towns and villages, including Buxton and Whaley Bridge, rolling road blocks will be in force, and this will also impact on bus services.
High Peak Buses have announced a number of changes to their timetables for tomorrow.
The 11.25hrs departure from Buxton to Macclesfield will commence from Burbage Level Lane at 11.35hrs.
The 11.15hrs departure from Macclesfield to Buxton, will not serve Buxton Market Place or Terrace Road, but will operate via Dale Road and terminate at Buxton Sylvan Park (Iceland).
The 11.00hrs departure from Glossop to Buxton will terminate at the Tesco store Whaley Bridge at 11.34hrs.
The 12.00hrs departure from Buxton to Glossop will operate as normal.
The 12.00hrs departure from Buxton to Sherwood Road will operate as normal.
The 11.23hrs departure from Fairfield to Harpur Hill will terminate on Buxton Market Place at 11.38hrs.
The 11.30hrs departure from Harpur Hill to Fairfield will terminate on Buxton Market Place at 11.41hrs.
The 11.40hrs departure from Shallcross to Chapel will not operate.
The 12.13hrs departure from Chapel to Shallcross will operate as normal, but will be delayed.
The 09.45hrs departure from Manchester Airport to Buxton will not serve Buxton Market Place and will terminate at Buxton Sylvan Park.
The 11.30hrs departure from Buxton to Manchester Airport will not depart from Buxton Market Place, but will commence from Buxton Railway Hotel. This service may be delayed further along the route as it again crosses the path of the Tour of Britain race.
The 10.45hrs departure from Manchester Airport to Buxton will be severely delayed from the Furness Vale area, due to the cycle race.
The 12.05hrs departure from Buxton to Manchester Airport will be delayed from the DoveHoles area, due to the cycle race.
The 11.35hrs departure from Buxton to Ashbourne will be delayed by at least 15 mins.
