To mark the launch of ‘It’s time to talk. It’s Time to Change’ campaign, the Grapevine Project is inviting residents of Buxton to their Fundraising and Awareness Day on Saturday, September 10.
The event is part of a national campaign that aims to address the fear or awkwardness people feel in talking about mental health problems, and get people around the country talking about mental health.
Julie Keeling, from Buxton said: “This fantastic free event gives people a chance to find out more about mental health by talking to someone with personal experience.
“The Fundraising and Awareness Day brings together people who are otherwise unlikely to meet.
“We want to use this as an effective way of breaking down stigma and promoting an inclusive community.”
The event will run from 11am to 4pm at The Grapevine Project, 15 Scarsdale Place, Buxton, on September 10.
