Three calls outs for mountain rescue team

Eleven people, and a dog, were assisted by volunteers from Buxton and Edale Mountain Rescue Teams and search and rescue dogs during three separate calls on Saturday.

Roger Bennett, Chairman of Buxton MRT, said “It was a great team effort with a supreme spirit ensuring we recovered all those requiring our assistance in severe weather conditions.”

They included a walker who had dislocated his knee. He had to be carried for more than two kilometres to an ambulance waiting in Edale before being taken to Stepping Hill Hospital.
