Thieves target three vans on same street in Chinley overnight

Police are appealing for information after thieves broke into three vans in the same street in Chinley during the early hours of the morning.

The offenders targeted vans that were parked in Princes Road, close to the junction with Green Lane, at about 2am on November 10.

Windows on the vehicles were smashed and the thieves stole power tools before fleeing in a car.

Police are urging van owners and tradesmen to review their vehicle security after the thefts and to consider removing tools overnight altogether.

Officers also want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area, particularly any suspicious cars driving around the streets at that time.
