People are being urged to swap their old photos and films for traditional tea and cakes as part of a pioneering history project.
The Past Lives Project are running a Heritage Reminiscence Vintage Tea Rooms with a twist on Tuesday, July 14.
The event will be serving up traditional English cakes, as well as tea in vintage china. But instead of charging money, people are asked to bring along local cine films, photos and memories for the project.
Everything gathered will be displayed in an exhibition at Buxton Museum in November, and a grand finale event at The Buxton Dome in January. The event at The Dome will show a new film created from the home movies, with a live soundtrack created by international musicians working with local young musicians.
The Vintage Tearooms are at the United Reform Church Hall, Hardwick Square, in Buxton, between 1pm and 3.30pm.
