Stepping out for Christian Aid

FUNDRAISERS are being urged to step out in aid of Christian Aid by taking part in the annual sponsored walk at Tittesworth Reservoir on Saturday March 24.

Honorary Organiser John Bamford said: “Last year raised £51,422 - an amazing result! Our walk is amongst Christian Aid’s most successful annual events.”

Donations already made will cover all the expenses associated with the walk so every penny collected in sponsorship will go directly to Christian Aid.

Registration starts from 9.15am and the walk starts at 10am. All those taking part will be given a car sticker for free parking.

Walkers, who are asked to complete the routes by 1.30pm, can undertake a short ‘easy’ walk of about two miles or a longer walk of about five miles, both will be clearly signposted. St John Ambulance members will be on duty together with stewards. Easter Eggs will be distributed to anyone brave enough to go along in Fancy Dress or to wear an Easter Bonnet.
