A spectacular concert starring Burbage Band is taking place in Buxton to mark 70 years since VE Day.
The event is being held on May 8 at the Palace Hotel at 7.30pm.
As well as Burbage Band, it will also feature musical group Four to the Bar singing wartime favourites, poetry readings by local poet Philip Holland and an act of remembrance by the President of the Royal British Legion.
Among those attending the concert will be the Vice Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire and the High Sheriff of Derbyshire.
Doors will open at around 7pm with the concert starting at 7.30pm. It is due to end at around 9.30pm.

Proceeds from the concert will go the Buxton Royal British Legion branch.
