Sixth annual Oli Day supports local causes

The sixth annual Oli Day, held in Chapel-en-le-Frith at the weekend, raised over £2,000 for local good causes.

The family funday is held every year in memory of Chapel man Oliver Everall, who died in February 2007, after a car accident on the A6 near Lyme Park.

Donations were given to: Chapel Town FC (£750), Buxton Boxing Club (£750), Chapel Juniors FC (£250), Buxworth FC (£250), Chinley FC (£250) and Friends of Chapel Park (£250).

Oliver was a promising young sports star and the annual Oli Day event featured a six-a-side football tournament as well as a number of other activities and events for all the family to enjoy.
