High Peak residents are being invited to showcase their talents for a good cause.
Pre-rounds for the Dove’s Got Talent show get underway tonight (Thursday) and people are being invited to enter.
Organised by the Dove Holes Carnival Committee, the talent show will take place at the Pavilion Arts Centre, Buxton, on April 25, when there will be the chance to win a variety of top prizes.
The pre-round, being held at the London Road pub, is for adults aged 17 and over with any kind of talent, from singing and dancing to playing an instrument or comedy.
Tonight’s event runs from 8pm to 11pm and the best act from each week will go through to the main show.
Tickets for the show will go on sale at the beginning of March via Sally Tideswell of the Dove Holes Carnival Committee on 07710 552827, or from the London Road, priced at £5 each for adults, with a family ticket for two adults and two children available at £10.
Children who want to enter the show should contact Sally on the number above or via the Facebook page for Dove Holes Carnival.
Money raised on the night of the show will go to the charity Huntington’s Disease Association.
