The show goes on for The Indieannas months after indie band's instruments were stolen

It was May last year when The Indieannas were left with nothing following a break-in at their rehearsal room on Staden Lane Industrial Estate.

Now they are preparing to support a band in Manchester and putting on a free gig in Buxton on Saturday, February 27 at the Queen’s Head.

Bass player Mark Whibberley said it was great to be back up and running: “We were in a very bad place as £6,500 worth of stuff had been stolen and we had to start again.

“It is amazing to be back on top and performing again and thanks to everyone who got behind us.”

The group will be supporting a band next month at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester - having worked with them previously before.

Mark, 42, said: “We got asked to do the gig which is a great honour as it means people want us to play with them rather than us approaching groups asking to play.”

The Indieannas have also signed a deal with Sound Hub Records and are working on an album that will be released at the end of the month.

The group, who are all from Buxton, are excited about the gig at the end of the month.

Mark added: “We don’t really get to play in Buxton much but we have a good following so it will be nice to play for a home crowd.”
