The red carpet is set to be rolled out in High Peak to welcome a very special royal visitor later this month.
Blythe House Hospice in Chapel-en-le-Frith is to receive a visit from HRH The Earl of Wessex on the afternoon of Thursday April 30.
Prince Edward will be escorted on a tour of the Eccles Fold building by former hospice director Sheila Tyler, and he will have an opportunity to meet clients, trustees, volunteers and staff.
Speaking on behalf of Blythe House, new Hospice Director Janet Dunphy said: “We are delighted to receive news of this visit, which is part of a very special celebration of the 25th anniversary of Blythe House Hospice.
“Blythe House is unique in its approach and achievements and we very much look forward to showing The Earl how, as a small organisation, we support the community of High Peak.”
Also on April 30, Prince Edward will visit the North Lees Estate, and in the evening attend a gala concert at Chatsworth House.
