REMEMBRANCE: Where you can honour the fallen in the High Peak this weekend

High Peak residents will pause and remember those who have lost their lives in conflict this weekend.

Services will take place across the High Peak on Sunday.

Here’s all the details.

Buxton - service at the cenotaph on The Slopes from 10.45am. After the service, a procession will form and head to the Pavilion Gardens for refreshments.

Chapel-en-le-Frith - parade will leave Thornbrook Road at 9.45am ahead of service at the parish church at 10.15am and on the market place at 10.45am.

New Mills - Remembrance service at St George’s Church at 10.30am followed by Act of Remembrance at the war memorial. Also, service at Low Leighton Methodist Church at 6pm with music by Dove Holes Band.

Hayfield - civic parade and service will leave Primrose Court at 10.30am for act of remembrance and wreath-laying service at the war memorial at 10.50am. Followed by annual remembrance service at St Matthew’s Church.

Bridgemont - short act of remembrance at the Bridgemont war memorial at 9.30am,

Furness Vale - residents will honour lost lives at the war memorial at 9.45am. At 10.45am, the Uniting Church will hold a full service of remembrance.

Whaley Bridge - on Saturday, Whaley Bridge residents will gather at The Cross on Station Approach at 10.45am. This will be followed on Sunday by a full service at Whaley Bridge Memorial Park at 10.45.

Kettleshulme - full remembrance service in the village hall at 3pm
