Remembrance 2018: Poppy Garden service at Buxton's Sparrow Park in pictures

A weekend of remembrance in Buxton got underway on Friday with a short service in the Poppy Garden at Sparrow Park.

The service was led by the Rev Keith Cocking, while Mayor of the High Peak Linda Grooby and High Peak MP Ruth George attended to lay wreaths and give readings.

The service was led by the Rev Keith Cocking. Members of the Buxton Royal British Legion were also present, along with the Poppy gardening team and children from St Anne's School.

Chelsea Pensioner John Wiseman was in attendance at the service.
Piper Chris Wilman played 'Highland Cathedral' on the bagpipes during the service, while Fairfield Band sounded the 'Last Post' and 'Reveille'.
