Pupils, staff and parents at a Buxton school are being kept busy in the run up to the summer holidays by raising money to buy a defibrillator.
Fairfield Endowed Junor School held a cake sale recently, which raised £130 and on Friday, all the children wore red for a dress your best day which raised £88.
A total of £1,500 is needed to purchase a defibrillator, which will benefit the children, staff and community.
A number of other fundraising ideas and activities are currently being planned by the school’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) to help raise the rest of the money needed for the lifesaving piece of equipment.
Defibrillators are one of the only effective treatments available for anyone suffering a cardiac arrest.
