A TINY Peak District village is again doing its bit to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
Local fundraiser Carol Allcock is holding an event at the Chelmorton Institute on Friday, September 28, as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning appeal.
Taking place between 9.30am and noon, the event will feature a raffle and tombola, stalls selling cakes, books, bric-a-brac, and crafts, surprise parcels and much more.
Carol’s coffee mornings alone have helped raise over £43,000 for the appeal over the past 15 years.
Anyone wishing to donate sale items for the stalls can contact Carol on 01298 85555.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event. Last year the event raised a record £10 million across the UK.
