Pupils offered school places

Nearly 100 per cent of children have been offered a place at one of their three preferred secondary schools.

Councillor Jim Coyle, Derbyshire County Council’s deputy cabinet member for children and young people, said: “It’s a time consuming and difficult job for our staff to process all these applications and balance the requests of parents with the places available at each school.

“I’m pleased the requests of the vast majority of parents have been met.”
