Premier Inn to open in Buxton in March

Buxton's newest hotel, which opens next month, will create 30 jobs and contribute £4m to the economy.

Premier Inn will open its doors on London Road on Thursday March, 3.

The 61-bedroom hotel has created a boost for employment as full time jobs have been created.

Robert Sparks, operations manager for Premier Inn Buxton, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming guests to Buxton and to spread the word of all that it has to offer.

“Positioned in a fantastic location, within walking distance to the Pavilion Gardens, Buxton Museum and Art Gallery, the hotel will give guests everything they need to explore the area.”

The hotel has a breakfast, snack and dinner menu for guests and all en-suite rooms have king sized beds and 40 inch televisions.

Built on the former Robin Hood pub site the company said it has been searching for a suitable site in Buxton for over ten years.

“It will be perfect for anyone wanting to explore its Georgian splendor and picturesque Dales.”

Planning permission was granted by High Peak Borough Council in December 2014 for the hotel, restaurant and 60 space car park.

It is estimated that the new project will bring in approximately 20,000 additional visitors to Buxton.

With over 700 hotels nationwide, Premier Inn is the UK’s largest hotel chain.

Prices for a family of four in the new hotel start at £35.
