A Buxton mum has set up a free support group for parents with premature babies, after her son was born 12 weeks early.

Erin Sharp has established a Buxton branch of Bliss, a national charity that helps families with babies born “too soon, too small or too sick”.

The 30-year-old mum-of-five will be leading the sessions, which will be held at Buxton Community Church, on London Road, on the second Monday of every month from 10.30am until 12.30pm.

Erin, of Kinder Way, Fairfield, said: “There was nothing around here for parents of premature or special care babies when I had Jack, hopefully this will be of help to anyone who had or will have a prem or poorly baby.”
