Harpur Hill showed its respect on Remembrance Day with the village’s Beavers and Cubs smartly dressed in their uniforms.
Six of them carried flags that were lowered at the sound of the last post.
More than 100 local residents joined in the ceremony to mark their respect, with the police having closed the road to enable the ceremony to go ahead undisturbed.
The majority of the crowd later joined in light refreshments of tea/coffee and biscuits laid on at Harpur Hill Club.
Wreaths were laid by a range of local organisations, including Harpur Hill Club, Harpur Hill Cubs/Beavers, WI and Derbyshire County Council.
Local Councillor Pam Reddy said the service had been a moving yet uplifting experience.
