High Peak voters to elect two new councillors

Voters in two areas of the High Peak are set to go to the polls later this week.

Elections have been called for new councillors to represent the Limestone Peak ward on High Peak Borough Council and the Fernilee Ward on Whaley Bridge Town Council.

There are four candidates standing for election to the vacant Limestone Peak ward seat on the borough council. They are: Peter Crook (Green Party), Alistair Forbes (Liberal Democrat), Jim Lambert (Labour) and Peter Roberts (Conservative).

The two candidates for the Fernilee Ward seat on the town council are: Michael Dean (Labour) and Andrew Fox.

Voting will take place on Thursday November 9, and polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm.
