POLICE in the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales are looking for volunteers to help support their Safer Neighbourhood policing teams.
The force is asking people to volunteer for just a few hours each week to provide administrative and practical support to Safer Neighbourhood teams in New Mills, Chapel-en-le-Frith, Buxton and Bakewell.
Some volunteers will be asked to take messages, arrange meetings, take minutes, update computer records and perform other administrative work. Others will help by distributing leaflets, putting up posters, or doing practical or manual tasks.
Volunteers must be at least 18 and anyone whose application is accepted will be invited to an informal interview. The deadline for applications is the end of December.
Application forms are available at www.derbyshire.police.uk/Documents/Careers/Volunteers/Volunteers-Application-Form.doc.
