Police have sounded a warning to motorists across the High Peak after a number of thefts from vehicles.
Over recent weeks officers have received reports of vans being broken into overnight across the area - particularly in Buxton and Chapel-en-le-Frith - with power tools being stolen.
Following the thefts, officers will be heading out to speak to motorists and offer advice.
Sergeant Denis Murphy, who oversees Safer Neighbourhood policing across the Derbyshire Dales, said: "Don’t make it easy for thieves. Where possible please remove tools and similar equipment from vans overnight and ensure they're security marked to help deter a thief."
