Derbyshire Police have released this image of a bicycle similar to one stolen in Buxton earlier this month, in the hope residents could help to trace its whereabouts.
The frame and one wheel of the red and black Giant Talon mountain bike were taken from Hardwick Square sometime between noon and 3.15pm on Saturday, August 11.
The second wheel was stolen sometime overnight between Wednesday, August 15 and Thursday, August 16.
A police spokesman said: “There have been sightings of the bike being ridden in the town centre, and we would like to hear from anyone with about where it may be.
“Our officers would also like anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area during the time of the incident to get in touch.”
Anyone with information which may be relevant to the investigation should call 101, citing reference number 18*382198 and the name of the officer leading the case, PCSO Linda Cook.
