An unusual crime is sweeping the High Peak as thieves are stealing some or parts of stone walls.
At least three incidents have been reported to Derbyshire police in the past two months and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious during the times and dates stated below.
A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: “We are also keen to speak to anyone who may have been offered stone slabs for reduced rates or in circumstances that they are suspicious of.”

Occurrence 18*151155 – Town End Methodist Church, Market Street, Chapel-en-le-Frith. Stones from dry stone wall stolen. Incident occurred between 26/03/18, 9am and 01/04/18, 9am.
Incidents18*107945 and 18*107947 – Hillside, Chapel-en-le-Frith. Coping stones taken from front wall of two terraced houses. Between 07/03/18 9pm and 08/03/18 5.30pm.
Theft 18*106677 – Hayfield Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith. Slabs taken from top of stone wall. Incident occurred between 07/03/18, 7pm and 08/03/18, 6.30am.
