Police appeal to trace owners of loose ponies in Whaley Bridge

Police are attempting to trace the owners of two ponies which were found running loose in Whaley Bridge.

The ponies, described as a 15.2hh grey gelding and a 14hh bay mare, were discovered roaming the Linglongs Road and Macclesfield Road area in the early hours of Tuesday June 30.

They have since been taken to a safe place under a green yard scheme initiative to ensure that they are safe and remain off the road.

Officers are appealing to the public to help identify the owners of the animals.
