Police appeal after Glossop vehicles are targeted by thieves

Police in Glossop are appealing for information after two vehicles in the town were targeted by thieves.

Sometime between 5.30pm on Thursday, August 25 and 9am the following morning, thieves forced the door of a grey Nissan Navara which was parked along High Street East in Glossop.

A black, red, and gold Yeti bike frame was stolen from within and police have now issued an image to help trace it. The bike, as pictured, was stolen without the wheels.

On the same night, a Makita impact drill with batteries and a carry case was stolen from a white Citroen van, which was also parked along High Street East, Glossop.

Following the thefts, officers are encouraging motorists in the town to consider the security of their own vehicles. This includes ensuring that they are properly locked and secured, with valuables removed, and any sat-nav cradle marks wiped from the windscreen.

Anyone with any information about the above theft, or who may have been offered similar items, is asked to contact PC Lisa Driver on 101, quoting 16000251521 for the bike and 16000251471 for the drill.
