Police appeal after commemorative WWI tree is vandalised in Glossop

Police are appealing for information after a tree planted in Glossop to commemorate 100 years since the start of the First World War was vandalised.

The tree, which was planted on Norfolk Square, was snapped in half sometime between 5pm on Friday and 6am on Saturday.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PCSO Jack Barlow on 101, quoting crime number 18802/15, or alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
