Police are teaming up with the Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service to host a pop-up shop for residents in Furness Vale.
PC Graham Mason and PCSO Tracy Jones from the Whaley Bridge Safer Neighbourhood Team will be joined by a community fire safety officer to host a crime prevention and fire safety event.
The team will be visiting the Post Office at Furness Vale Social Club on Yeardsley Lane to speak to people about the steps that they can take to further protect themselves from becoming a victim of crime, along with reducing the risk of fire in their home.
The event is set to take place between 2pm and 3.30pm on Tuesday, May 31.
PCSO Jones from the area’s Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Events like this are a great opportunity for us to work alongside our partners at the fire service to encourage residents to protect themselves from crime and the risk of fire.
“We will be on hand at the social club to answer any questions that you may have, whether it be increasing home security, neighbourhood concerns, or reducing the risk of fire in your home. We look forward to seeing you there.”
