For more than a century people have gone in their droves to the Disley and Lyme Horticultural Society’s annual show and this year is no different.
Held at Disley Amalgamated Sports Club and now in its 109th year the event on Saturday, August 20 was a hit with all ages.
There was something for everyone on the day with people expressing their crafty side with paintings, drawings and even Lego creations.
For those ready for the return of The Great British Bake Off there were cakes and sweet treats aplenty.
Green-fingered gardeners held their breath as their plants and flowers were assessed by judges and budding grocers displayed their fruit and vegetables.
A committee member for Horticultural Society said: “To all those who visited, took part and volunteered thank you. Without you there wouldn’t be a show.”
Jason Ogden won the first prize for his hand crafted wood item and keeping it in the family the Greene youngsters, Keira, Niamh and Liam took home prizes for their handiworks in baking and photography.
Trophy winner will be able to collect their engraved trophy at the next coffee morning, Saturday, October 1 at High Lane Village Hall between 10am and 12 noon.
