Scores of country fair revellers savoured the sights, sounds and smells of rural life at the 37th Manifold Show.

An event which holds true to tradition, the show gave out prizes in displays showcasing sheep and cattle, horses and dogs.

It also boasted a selection of rural vintage machinery and tractors as well as arts, handicrafts and produce from residents.

And the fun didn’t stop there as horse jumping, carriage driving and terrier racing were on offer as well.

Organisers said it was a great family day out – and thankfully the weather stayed dry.

The event took place at the The Arbour in Ilam, near Ashbourne, on Saturday.
