But the Wardlow Mires cafe is also now branching out to offer a burger and chicken menu on Friday and Saturday nights.

And the Yondermann now has an alcohol license so customers can enjoy a pint with their food.

Ed Bishop is the manager and chef at the Yondermann and has created a special fried chicken range using his own recipe to provide a delicious alternative to popular fast food chain offerings. Diners can choose from one, two or three pieces of chicken with sauces, or opt for a buttermilk fried chicken burger.

The Friday and Saturday evening menu also features a beef burger topped with streaky bacon, cheddar or stilton and served with fries, salad and slaw. Alternatively, you can enjoy a Halloumi burger with sweet pepper and chilli relish, fries, salad and slaw.

A children’s menu is also available.

All meals can be washed down with an alcoholic drink if customers wish, with options including a range from Peak Ales, wines, spirits or even a bloody Mary.

Ingredients are all locally sourced, from only the best quality producers, and the day time menu offers a range of options from breakfasts to jacket potatoes and sandwiches.

A range of hot drinks are on offer, including coffee from Buxton Roastery. And fresh homemade cakes are always available for those looking for a sweet treat to enjoy with their drink.

The Buxton Advertiser has now teamed up with the Yondermann Cafe for a reader offer and competition.

Anyone who takes the voucher printed in this week’s paper (May 6 edition) in to the cafe will be entitled to a free cake on purchase of a coffee for a limited period only, until May 20.

The Friday and Saturday night menu is available from 5pm to 7pm, and the Yondermann is open 8am to 3pm from Monday to Thursday, 8am to 7pm Friday and Saturday and 8am to 5pm on Sunday.
