Matt Quigley, 38, told how he came up with the idea when the depth of the coronavirus crisis became apparent as the UK went into lockdown.
Dad-of-one Matt donated £500 of his own money to the fund named Stockport NHS Foundation Trust - fundraiser.

Hide AdGenerous Matt said as the outbreak worsened in coming weeks ‘poorly people from the High Peak’ would be cared for at the hospital.
Stockport County FC captain Paul Turnbull, player Sam Walker and Emmerdale actor Danny Miller have all filmed messages urging others to support the appeal.
Matt said: “The hospital will be at capacity so we have to raise as much money as we can.
“It’s a scary time at the moment because no-one knows how bad it’s going to get and how many people are going to die.

Hide Ad“But there are so many people in the community sharing this to help raise awareness - it’s gone better than I ever expected.”

Hide AdMatt said that as he noticed people frantically rushing around to shops as panic started setting in he thought ‘what can I do to help?’.
He added: “I decided I was going to raise as much money and awareness as I possibly could.”
Speaking about the celebrity video messages supporting the campaign Matt said ‘it’s fantastic that they’ve got involved’.
