Firefighters rescue lamb trapped on rocky ledge in Peak District

Derbyshire firefighters rescued a lamb which was stuck on a rocky ledge 15 metres above the ground in the Peak District last night.

Crews from Hathersage, Alfreton and Buxton were called to Hassop Road, Calver, at about 8.40pm on Saturday, June 20.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “This was an animal rescue incident involving a sheep stuck on a ledge 15 metres above ground, fire crew rescued the sheep from the rock face and was handed back to the farmer.”
